Story from Bunker Hill. Was commissioned a Lieut. 1779 in a Reg. about to be raised, but was never raised. He kept his commission and was employed in attending the accounts of the C.T. Line at the War Office in Philadelphia. Representative of New London in State Assembly and once chosen Clerk of the House. Appointed Judge on the Supreme Court of CT in 1806. Elected mayor of New London in 1805. He held both offices until 1829. Listed as Brainard.
