From Dr. Stofko: Born in Glastonbury. At an East Haddam town meeting held 14 November 1774, Dr. Thomas Moseley was one of a committee appointed of inspection to examine the conduct of persons suspected of toryism. Dr. Moseley's second wife, Phebe Griswold Throop, was the widow of Brigadier General Dyar Throop. They were married in East Haddam in 1791. She is buried in First Church Cemetery.
