Notes
Born in Marlborough. Lived in East Haddam. From Dr. Stofko: He was a commander of the East Haddam 1st or South Company of Militia before the Revolution. In March if 1778 and again in 1779, he was one of a committee appointed by the town to provide suitable clothing for the East Haddam men in the field. On November 10, 1780 he was chosen chairman of a committee to receive the "government salt" and receive, inspect, and put up all the provisions delivered to the committee in payment of the State tax, payable in provisions levied upon the list of 1779. In November of 1780, the State stored 200 bushels of salt in his warehouse.
