At a town meeting held Dec 6, 1779, Messrs. Thomas Hall 2nd, Smith 2nd, and Joseph Emmons were chosen to be on a committee to provide for the soldiers families for the year ensuing (1780).At a town meeting held Nov 13, 1781, Mr. Joseph Emmons and Capt. Eliphalet Holmes were chosen to purchase and receive of beef and flour for said town's quota of provisions for the Army.
