Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 1777, resigned in 1780. Listed as a commander of the E.H. 1st Company of Militia. 1774/11/17 he was voted a member of the "Committee of Inspection" by the town of E.H. Served 30 sessions of the CT General Assembly from Oct. 1773 to May 1792. He was Justice of the Peace from 1770 to 1807. He was Associate Judge of the Middlesex County Court from 1794 to 1804.
